Anxiety statistics worldwide show that anxiety disorders are common across the globe. According to the World Health Organization, 3.6 %— or about 264 million individuals worldwide — have an anxiety disorder.
There is a difference between healthy worry and debilitating anxiety. Healthy worry is helping you solve a problem, and once the problem is solved, the worry goes away. This isn’t true with anxiety. It lingers and no matter how rational something sounds. Ultimately, when anxiety takes control of your thoughts, it doesn’t let go. It can impact all areas of your life and rob you of your joy.
